3- The oldest temple of the world named Göbeklitepe was located in Anataloia. It's dated bac to twelve thousand yers ago, circa 10.000 BC.

5- Alexander the Great cut the Gordion knot near Ankara (capital of Turkey). The double knot in Turkish carpets is called " Gördes Düğümü" which is the Turkish expression for the "Gordion Knot".
6- Between 7 and 5C BC, Miletus was the Home of Thales(one of the Seven Sages), of Anaximander Anaximenes (natural philosophers), Hippodamus (philosopher and the earliest town planner) and hecataeus (geographer).
7- Historian Herodotus, physician Galen, mathematician Apollonius, and many more were all Anatolians.

8- Two of the Seven Wonders of the World stood in Anatolia: the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus and the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. The others are the Pyramids of Egypt, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the colossus of Rhodes and the Pharos of Alexandria.
9- The words of Julius Caesar "veni,vidi,vici (I came, I saw, I conquered)" were said in Amasya, east of Ankara when he went to Anatolia in 47 BC.

10- The Seven chuches of Asia mentioned in the Revelation of John are located in Anatolia; Ehesus (Efes), Smyrna (Izmir), Laodicea (Denizli), Sardis (Sart), Pergamum (Bergama), Philedephia (Alaşehir) and Thyatira (Akhisar).

12-Turkish women were far ahead of many European women when they obtained the right to vote at municipal level in 1930.
